Mitzka was our favorite boy, a joy to own and show. He was so funny, so intelligent and sensitive. A real friend and member of our family. We were devastated when we suddenly lost him due to a blood clot that got loose. Mitzka was loved so much and we miss him every day. His show career was an impressive one, and a list of his notable accomplishments is a long one. At a tender age of six months, his first time in the ring, he won the PSBC Sanctioned match, going BIM. In 1999, Mitzka won the PSBC Specialty. Mitzka was a multiple group-winner and group-placer in both the United States and Canada. In 1998, he was in the top 25 in the United States, after being specialed only in the summer, and he was in the top ten in Canada after only five shows. In 2001, Mitzka was #11 Borzoi shown locally. In 2002, Mitzka was Number One Male All Breed System and Number Two Borzoi All Systems. We did it owner-handled! Mitkza had 4 specialty BOB wins and six specialty AOMs. Mitzka was sound, with floating, ground-covering movement, beautiful type, coat, the most perfect tail we have ever seen, and an unmistakable presence in the ring. He had full dentition and a perfect scissors bite at 9 years of age. Last time he was shown, and the only time shown as a veteran, Mitzka won the PSBC specialty under breeder judge Nadine Johnson (Rising Star Borzoi).
