VASSIA  Vassia always had a very special place
in our hearts. We think that he was a great
ambassador to Japan. Vassia was very sweet and so much fun. Vassia had
a beautiful shoulder and neck assembly and his movement was divine. Sound as can be, with great reach and drive,
beautiful straight tail carried low, small high-set ears, full
dentition, scissors bite, nice almond-shaped eyes, and a gorgeous
head. Vassia was a definite eye catcher in the ring. Vassia was exported to Japan at the age of seven months. He
came back home as a four year old to finish his titles in the
United States and Canada. We were so happy to get to know
the grown-up Vassia again. Vassia has sired four beautiful litters in
Japan. He sadly left in his prime, following a minor injury
and a vet's mistake (wrong anesthesia administered for a leg X-Ray).
His legacy lives on in Japan, as we think his children are very
special, too.

Good bye, Yuko
We are so sad to lose a dear friend and Borzoi fancier with a vision and touch for the breed. Beautiful Yuko, you'll always be in our hearts. You are now with your sweet Vassia. Our deepest condolences go to Yuko's husband Sadao, who has been so strong and is now taking care of their dogs...
